• Vendor Relations: Ensure relations with vendors/suppliers remain strong by resolving any discrepancies on orders quickly and effectively.
• Problem Solving: Make the decisions to help drive solutions and keep our products moving.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the Shipping & Receiving team to work as an effective and efficient unit.

Position Information
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and eligible for overtime. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Department Summary
Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Logistical Services, Shipping and Receiving Services (SRS) and Mail Services (MS) handle the receipt, packing, and delivery of all incoming and outgoing materials for the campus. Responsibilities include verifying materials against purchase orders, tagging University equipment, and coordinating with the U.S. Postal Service for mail sorting and distribution. These departments ensure efficient operations and act as a liaison between the University and external services.

Education and Experience
Two years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment.
Applicants without the specified experience may still qualify if they provide additional evidence demonstrating they meet the minimum qualifications.
Key Qualifications
• A Forklift Certificate is preferred.
• Proficiency in various computer software applications used in warehousing, receipts, tracking, storage, and procurement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of departmental operations and workflows to make sound judgments in planning and scheduling receipt, processing, and material distribution.
• Basic understanding of shipping and receiving operations, including workflows.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
• You must have a valid California Driver’s License, or be able to obtain one within 10 days of being hired.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Starting salary: Up to $4,875 per month, depending on your qualifications, experience, and the department’s budget.
• The full salary range for this position is $3,680 – $5,856 per month.
