Position Overview
Altar’d State at Home is a newly launched home furnishings brand designed to create a warm, inspiring shopping experience. With a passion for stunning visuals and a strong focus on photography, we bring our products and brand story to life in engaging and meaningful ways. As a fast-paced, ever-evolving brand, we are constantly developing new initiatives and creative concepts. We value collaboration, accountability, and enthusiasm for our brand and products.
We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to lead print and digital design projects for Altar’d State at Home. This includes website design, packaging, catalogs, social marketing, and campaign creative. As part of a small but dynamic team, you will take ownership of the entire design process—from concept and proofing to finalizing files and uploading assets. If you are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to hear from you! Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills are a must, along with a passion for growth and adaptability.
Our ideal candidate has an impressive portfolio showcasing typographic excellence, brand storytelling, and compelling visual content, including imagery and video. Please share an example of a project where you thoughtfully developed a brand story through design and imagery, from concept to completion.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the creative director, copywriters, merchants, and product teams to develop seasonal marketing assets for digital and print platforms.
- Adapt quickly and maintain accuracy through frequent updates and revisions.
- Partner with the photography team to plan imagery assets and coordinate shoot and retouch requests.
- Work closely with the marketing team to design digital CRM assets, advertising materials, and internal communications.
- Stay updated on design trends in home furnishings, fashion, social media, and marketing to implement innovative ideas.
- Manage project timelines to meet milestones and ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate effectively—both written and verbal—to keep teams aligned on project progress.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
- Strong expertise in typography and an eye for compelling visuals, including photography and video.
- Experience in retail, design studios, agencies, or freelance (retail experience preferred).
- Proficient in Mac applications, including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, presentation, and project management skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital design expertise and online visual storytelling.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and deadlines.
- Passion for retail and adaptability to change.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
