Responsibilities
As a Distribution Center Picker Packer at DHL, you will be integral to our operations by ensuring accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders within the distribution center
Your role will involve precise picking, packing, and preparation of products for shipment, emphasizing adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards
Order Fulfillment:
Efficiently pick customer orders using pick sheets or handheld devices from designated storage areas
Verify the correct quantity and type of products according to order specifications
Packing and Shipping:
Pack picked products securely and neatly, following company packaging guidelines to ensure safe transit
Accurately prepare shipping labels and documentation using computer systems
Inventory Control:
Assist in maintaining precise inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock checks
Immediately report any discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to cleanliness and safety protocols
Safely operate non-powered material handling equipment following training and guidelines
Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments, such as inbound and outbound logistics, to optimize warehouse operations
Communicate workload status, issues, and suggestions for process improvements to supervisors
