Job Overview
Join the Amazon warehouse team, where you’ll prepare orders for customers who depend on Amazon services. In this fast-paced, physical role, you’ll work in areas like merchandise, make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. Your tasks will include picking, packing, and shipping orders, sometimes for our lightning-fast (2-hour or less) delivery service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
Receiving and organizing inventory
Preparing and packing customer orders
Loading boxes onto trucks for shipment
Scanning product barcodes with handheld devices
Following on-screen prompts to complete tasks
Troubleshooting issues as needed
Ensuring product quality standards are met
Operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) like forklifts or pallet drivers and working at heights of up to 40 feet (training and certification are provided at no cost).
You’ll also need to be able to:
Lift up to 49 pounds
Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout shifts
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other tools to move items
Climb stairs (where applicable)
Work on mezzanines at heights up to 40 feet (where applicable)
Follow strict safety, quality, and production standards

Activity: Some tasks involve standing for long periods, walking, or climbing stairs.
Temperature: Climate-controlled areas range from 60°F to 90°F, but some areas (like truck yards) may exceed 90°F on hot days.
Noise Level: It can get loud. Hearing protection is available if needed.
Dress Code: Casual attire is allowed, but closed-toe shoes are mandatory. For some roles, protective footwear is required, and Amazon provides a $110 Zappos gift code to help you purchase work shoes before your first day.
