If you haven’t heard, Amazon is a household name worldwide, shipping millions of products yearly to its loyal customers. As an Area Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly, focusing on four big priorities: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity.
So, what’s the gig like? You’ll oversee one area of the Fulfillment Center—either Inbound or Outbound—managing budgets, leading a team of Process Assistants, and driving operations to hit performance goals. You’ll mentor your crew, foster a positive workplace vibe, and help build the next generation of leaders within Amazon. Plus, you’ll spearhead staffing plans, quality projects, and process improvements while collaborating with support teams like HR, Finance, and IT to make it all happen. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll tackle operational challenges, share best practices across shifts, and keep your team on track.
### What You’ll Need to Succeed
– 1+ years of experience managing people and performance
– A Bachelor’s degree (or 2+ years as an Amazon blue badge/full-time employee)
– Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, or rotating shifts
– Ability to push/pull dollies with up to 100 pounds of products
