Position Details: Human Resources Coordinator
- Location: Torrance, CA Headquarters
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Compensation: $26.00 – $36.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for managing various HR processes and supporting the employee lifecycle—from hiring to exit. This role includes assisting with recruitment, onboarding, record-keeping, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Essential Duties:
- Support the employee lifecycle using HRMS and technology platforms.
- Assist in recruitment: posting jobs, verifying qualifications, and contacting references.
- Schedule meetings and interviews.
- Facilitate background checks and new hire orientations.
- Manage employee files and ensure compliance with I-9 documentation.
- Track employee training and compliance.
- Administer health and welfare plans, benefits enrollments, and salary changes.
- Handle unemployment claims, disability claims, and employment verifications.
- Collaborate with management on creating job descriptions and maintaining job salary bands.
- Work with external HR consultants on leave management, workers’ compensation, and policy updates.
- Educate and train managers on HR processes and legal compliance.
- Assist with performance reviews, grievances, and terminations.
- Plan and coordinate company events.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HR data standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Education: AA required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in HR or related fields.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRMS (Paychex Flex and Ease preferred).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Understanding of HR principles, federal/state/local laws, and HRMS systems.
- Certifications: Must pass criminal background screening.
- Attributes: Reliable, honest, and committed to confidentiality and professionalism.
